UGO, part of the AlloTaxi group launches in Saudi Arabia

Sherlock Taxi is now live in a new region, Saudi Arabia.

Sherlock client UGO is a subsidiary of AlloTaxi, one of Sherlock’s first customers with operations in Lebanon and Angola.

The background

AlloTaxi Lebanon launched in the late 1990s. The business used its own technology until implementing Sherlock in 2014 to expedite the business’ expansion. In that time, AlloTaxi has grown from a start-up to over 400 vehicles.

Following the company’s success in Lebanon, a second entity was opened in Angola. Launching in 2015 with 30 vehicles, this business has grown to 150 cars.

AlloTaxi chose Sherlock to power the next stage of their growth and expansion as the business needed a flexible technology solution which could be adapted to respond to the challenges they were facing.

Sherlock is a dispatch solution which can operate globally including in regions with specific challenges such as poor mapping and internet connectivity issues. Additionally, AlloTaxi wanted to benefit from the option to commission custom development which would enable the business to respond to market-specific challenges and grow.

As a result of partnering with a forward-thinking tech partner, AlloTaxi has been able to open its new business, UGO, in Saudi Arabia. Using a partner which can operate globally has enabled faster deployment in Saudi Arabia which also means that costs and therefore, risk have been reduced.

UGO is currently operating a start-up fleet of vehicles and servicing mainly hotels and airport transfers in Saudi Arabia. It is another fleet with ambitious growth plans similar to others in the AlloTaxi group. By using Sherlock to manage their operations, the business can be confident in the knowledge that they have the right tech in place to enable expansion.
