Here at Haulmont Technology we are delighted to announce that Sherlock Taxi has been shortlisted as Technology Product of the Year for SMEs in Computing magazine’s Technology Product Awards.
Computing is an industry-leading magazine published fortnightly for IT managers and professionals. It is widely considered the leading information resource for UK technology decision makers.
The magazine’s Technology Product Awards aim to recognise the best in the UK tech industry with categories including Best Business Application, Best Digital Transformation Product and Product of the Year.
Sherlock has been nominated as the Product of the Year for SMEs – businesses with fewer than 1000 employees. The demands and pressures faced by SMEs can be quite different from multi-national giants and this award celebrates the technology product which is best-suited to and has the biggest impact on SMEs.
The vast majority of minicab companies are local/regional businesses. In recent years, the launch of tech giants such as Uber and Lyft has disrupted the industry and put additional pressures on these local firms in terms of competition for passengers and drivers. Hampered by legacy and outdated technology, SMEs have previously struggled to put technology to good use in terms of driving up efficiency, increasing the bottom line and scaling up their businesses.
Sherlock gives companies the opportunity to compete with global players through its highly customisable platform that delivers the same user experience and driver benefits from an affordable platform.
Mike Tobin, Business Unit Director for Sherlock Taxi remarked, “We’re really happy to see Sherlock Taxi being recognised by such respected Technology Awards. It is testament to quality of the Sherlock product and its innovative features and customisations which keep driving our customers forward – allowing them to compete in increasingly difficult markets.”
The winners will be announced on Friday 29th November.
