Sherlock Taxi wins at the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2016

Now in their 8th year, this year’s European IT & Software Excellence Awards attracted over 400 entries from more than 31 countries.

Haulmont Technology has won the Vertical Market Solution of the Year in the ISV Category at the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2016.

Now in their 8th year, this year’s European IT & Software Excellence Awards attracted over 400 entries from more than 31 countries. The awards are given for IT solutions that get to the heart of customer issues, delivering better business, a clearer understanding of data, and more efficient and profitable outcomes. The judges, with many decades of experience of IT industry involvement between them, believe the successful applicants truly reflect both the strength of Europe's IT industry and some of the changes in the direction occurring within it.

LeCab launched in 2012, initially with just 30 cars, using Sherlock Taxi Solution to manage all aspects of its business, from smartphone booking apps to dispatch, operations and invoicing. Despite debuting in Paris amongst fierce competition in a disrupted sector, LeCab has grown at a phenomenal rate and now boasts a fleet of near 800 premium taxis.

In just over three years LeCab has revolutionised the private hire market in Paris, serving hundreds of thousands of users and more than 3,000 corporate accounts. LeCab’s success clearly demonstrates the power of Sherlock Taxi’s automated dispatch system in enabling rapid scale, and its elegant customer booking apps that have proved hugely popular in a crowded market.

This award is recognition of the key role played by Sherlock Taxi Solution in a fantastic customer success story. LeCab is not alone - Sherlock Taxi currently operates in 16 countries worldwide, serving start-ups and established fleets, all of whom benefit from the innovative dispatch technology and cutting-edge smartphone apps that were the foundation of LeCab’s amazing growth over the last few years.

This year has seen more entries than ever, and an even wider spread of project types – from mobility, security and management to software-as-a-service packages for key vertical markets, and from data-driven systems using the new power of analytics to others which effectively replace costly old systems with new and far more efficient apps, increasingly driven in the cloud. The result is the best-ever advertisement for the capabilities of European IT, and we could not help but be impressed by the skills on display and the effort that has gone into effective IT delivery.
