Luxe Cars is a high-end taxi company that launched in Peterborough in November 2018. The company pitches itself as a luxury service with a majority Mercedes fleet and fully trained chauffeur drivers who all wear suits as their uniform. The company aims to provide a luxury service at affordable fares, with prices starting from as little as £4.00.
Owner, Tahir Iqbal, first approached us in August 2018 to discuss implementing Sherlock Taxi as their booking and dispatch technology. Tahir was committed from the very beginning to working with a premium technology brand and contacted us because of our reputation for delivering technology solutions to Addison Lee for over 10 years. He was particularly impressed with Sherlock Taxi’s ability to automate allocation using a variety of different configurations and he was able to see this live in action when he visited Addison Lee’s control room with us. Tahir has ambitious growth plans for his start-up. Having launched in November 2018 with seven drivers, his number of active drivers has doubled in the first three months of business. By implementing automated features such as our unique allocator, Tahir has already put the tools in place to be able to scale up his business rapidly.

The majority of Luxe’s work is currently centred around ASAP trips and airport transfers with a number of airports used by the local market including Heathrow and Stansted. Tahir is capitalising on this market and growing his customer base through targeted promotions and the promo codes functionality in Sherlock Taxi.
